Stillwater Hosts Union

The Stillwater Pioneers hosted the Union Redskins back on August 26th for a week one non-conference football game.

The Pioneers started the scoring early with a rushing touchdown by junior running back, Gavin Potter and were able to convert the 2 point conversion to take an 8-0 lead.

Union responded with a touchdown pass fromsenior quarterback, Caden Meis to junior receiver, Sam Wilson. The Redskins were unable to convert the extra point and trailed 8-6.

Stillwater extended their lead to 15-6 with a 25 yard field goal by senior kicker, Carter Johnson.

The Redskins answered back with a 60 yard touchdown run by senior running back, Tucker Allen and tied the game at 15.

Union would take their first lead of the game with a 30 yard field goal by junior kicker, Carter Bonds.

Stillwater regained the lead with a 6 yard touchdown run by junior quarterback, Carson Gore and the 2 point conversion to take a 23-18 lead.

The Redskins tied the game at 23 with a 20 yard field goal by Bonds.

Stillwater was able to take the lead for good with a 30 yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback, Carson Gore to junior receiver, Cade Gregory.

The Pioneers would go on to win the game by the score of 30-23.

The Pioneers will travel to Coweta next week for a week two non-conference game.

The Redskins will host Berryhill next week for a week two non-conference game.
